The word “lewk” was added to Cambridge this year, three years after it was added to Merriam-Webster and more than a decade after it was popularized by fashion influencers and drag queens. Another addition was “inspo,” a term that has referred to inspirational online images since the early days of Instagram.

The Cambridge Dictionary has added over 6,000 new words including slang terms like “skibidi,” pronounced SKIH-bih-dee, "tradwife" and "delulu."

Skibidi is a term borrowed from the YouTube animated series “Skibidi Toilet.” It has chameleonic powers in that it “has different meanings such as cool or bad, or can be used with no real meaning as a joke” depending on the context, according to the dictionary.
