With more than thirty works of art displayed year-round, the Hirshhorn Museum’s Sculpture Garden and Plaza offer visitors a contemplative haven in the heart of our nation’s capital.

The campus is currently undergoing transformative improvements: repairs are being made to the Museum building’s envelope and the revitalization of the Sculpture Garden will formally begin in spring 2023.

Originally established by Congress to showcase the art and artists of our time, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden has, since its opening, sought to uphold this mission by sharing the transformative power of modern and contemporary art with the widest possible audiences.

Mar 22, 2024 · Organized by Hirshhorn Associate Curator Marina Isgro and Assistant Curator Betsy Johnson, Revolutions will fill the Museum’s second-floor outer-circle galleries from March 22, 2024, to January 3, 2027, including a series of rotations, the first of which debuted January 18, 2025 with 50 new works.
