Our institution's logos at Western University are central to our visual identity. Respecting and maintaining the integrity of our logos is important to our brand.

The logo is one of our brand identity's most important visual components. Its function is to clearly and powerfully identify our University. Its typography, colour, crest and configuration are unique. Approved variations of the logo are provided to support legibility and format restrictions.

The Oviatt House logo was designed in the winter of 1977-1978 for use on a flag for an expedition to Antarctica by geology professor Thomas Laudon. Within the circle, the logo originally depicted a “moon’s eye view of the earth” to suggest UW Oshkosh’s worldwide impact.
