May 3, 2019 · Chrono Trigger for me. FFVI is a game that I've grown to appreciate as I've gotten older, and I think it has the better, more poignant and epic story. But Chrono Trigger is not only nostalgic to me, but just has the funner gameplay. Maybe it'd be different if I played them both for the first time today, but I'd have to pick Chrono Trigger.

It also had what was called a "dream team", so you can see how people see it as the pinnacle of JRPGs on the SNES, even of all time.

Nov 21, 2024 · Chrono Trigger is quite short so I don't think you'd need to divide it the way you had to for a full 3D FFVII Remake. Basically go the Silent Hill 2/Resident Evil 2 style of Remake, something that is faithful but also a different experience than the original so that they can stand alongside one another.
