It adds a few features (pre-heat, start car from phone, locate car) that are nice, but overall unnecessary - especially for someone not inclined to smartphone anyway. If they don't have smartphone, I also don't expect they are geeky enough to want to use visible tesla, but who knows.

Dec 31, 2018 · I called Tesla service. They failed to fix the problem. However, the guy said its the blutooth function and likely my iPhone has problems. Because the Tesla detected his smartphone, but wouldn't detect mine. But I asked the phone repair guy, he said as long as my bluetooth connects to something, then there is nothing wrong with my iPhone.
