Hurricane Melissa has upgraded to a category 5. A Hurricane Warning remains in effect for Jamaica as Melissa continues to move westward over the Caribbean Sea, just south of the island. The U.S. Air Force Reserve's 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, aka the "Hurricane Hunters," flew into the eye of Hurricane Melissa on Monday to collect data for the National Hurricane Center.
