The Third St. NE bridge was quiet today (except for the wind and some crickets). But that’s about to change. The bridge is scheduled to fully reopen to traffic by the end of the day tomorrow, Oct. 10. The structure closed to traffic on Sept. 16 for multiple repairs. During the closure, crews replaced street light luminaires to LED, sealed deck joints, replaced an expansion joint seal, repaired deck spalls and the spalling concrete on piers 3 and 4, and replaced a bearing on pier 3.
