These parts are ATP-5 aluminum tooling plate which is a fantastic option when you can use it for jobs that involve taking a lot of material away, but bending / flatness is still of concern. We use a lot of ATP-5 at Lakewood, mostly for fixture plates - but we also use it for larger plate jobs where we’re removing a lot of material. Because it’s cast and not extruded like 6061, it’s got a lot less internal stress - so it doesn’t banana on you when you release it from the vise! _______________ We make excellent parts.
