Would like yalls feedback: Foreign land ownership, that SB 17 (2025) is supposed to "prevent", is a significant issue facing Texans. SB 17 is entirely reactive and relies on anonymous tips and red flags AFTER the sale is complete. Only after a tip is received, then MAYBE an investigation will happen. It also does nothing to stop leasing from the countries on the "banned" list. That's unacceptable and it functionally does nothing to stop our land from being bought up by countries on the "banned"
