The Omaha Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene. The death is being investigated as suspicious; officers remain on scene working to determine what happened. VALENTINE (NE) - Thank you to this Valentine, Nebraska man, Ryan Connot, who went into the water, along with a man from Utah to try to save a woman whose arm was severed by a shark. Ryan was on vacation with his family in the Virgin Islands. He says he is grateful his three kids and niece are ok. They were snorkeling in the same area just an hour before the woman was attacked. The woman, vacationing from Minnesota, died of her injuries. Ryan only wishes he could have done more. He is a true hero
