On February 5, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Colchester Officers were on routine patrol on Route 16 near the intersection of Scofield Road. While approaching the intersection, a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed ran a posted stop sign, nearly colliding with the Colchester Police cruiser. The Police Officer had to take evasive action, causing Colchester Police K9 Skipper to slam against the front seat of the police cruiser. The officer was able to catch up to the recklessly driven veh
