On this day in 1978 during the 1978 Gator Bowl, Ohio State coach Woody Hayes punches a Clemson player after intercepting a Art Schlichter pass. Clemson won the game 17-15 and Woody Hayes was fired the next day. One of the worst ways to ever end your coaching career.
