in early 1990, a Buffalo Southern Railroad Alco S2 is sorting cars at the city's grain elevator complex. The locomotive produces 1000hp and was one of 1502 that were built between 1940 & 1950. While most were built in the U.S. the S2 was also the first diesel built by MLW. We think this engine is still on the active roster!
